What surprises me is that a lot of people who do not support this now are those who are less well off. The political right wing in America is doing its best to scare people. One of the central arguments is that allowing any government control of health care will diminish freedom, as the government will tell individuals what to do. I feel quite different, as the law is implemented and health care becomes affordable for all I, as an individual, can spend less time worrying about how to pay for health care (and how to keep a job that offers health care) and more time worrying about actually working.
